Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is a loving and compassionate God who, when He lived on earth, suffered all the trials and temptations that any person has ever suffered, yet He overcame them all and remained sinless in His time here, as a man. He is well able to understand our brokenness and distresses and is more than able to overcome them, on our behalf. It is only a matter of a person's willingness to come to Jesus and allow Him to take their burdens and sorrows and to heal all who are depressed and downtrodden. It is completely up to each individual person, to be willing to come to the Lord.
