Your New Life. Every born again Christian, as soon as they have repented of their sins and have given their life to the Lord, have already begun living, a new life, in Christ. This we read from Ephesians chapter 2 verse 6. Your inner person, your spirit, has been recreated to live in Christ's resurrection power; your old sinful, spiritual nature has been raised, that means completely resurrected, from the dreadful darkness of Satan's kingdom and its evil. It is now living in the love, joy, peace and righteousness of God's kingdom of heaven. We are now seated above and are enabled to live in God's kingdom, forevermore. This is through Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, our Lord and Saviour, even while we are in our earthly state.

God's Ministry Gifts to the Church

Who are in the church of God? Every born again believer is a member of Christ's body, the church, irrespective of denominational preference. Christ is the head of the body. In order for His saints to be able to be His true representatives on earth, the Lord has equipped every born again Christian with wonderful gifts anointed by the Holy Spirit. We read about this from Ephesians chapter 4 verses 11 and 12. The church is endowed with the ministry gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. They are equipped, by the Holy Spirit,to teach God's people the truths of God's word. Apostles are special messengers of God's word; prophets speak messages of encouragement and sometimes, prophesying things to come; evangelists are specially equipped to preach the gospel of salvation and pastors and teachers are meant to shepherd, guide and instruct the local congregations. These gifts are given, by God to build up and strengthen the body of Christ.
