With the Lord Forever - 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 5:1-2
Series
We talk so little about Heaven in church. Timothy reports to Paul about a widespread speculation among church members that these newly dead believers would miss out entirely, that Christ's return would be too late for them.
It’s fortunate for us that these early Pauline churches had questions about their problems. Without those questions we wouldn't learn so much about Jesus Christ and his wonderful kingdom. Paul's teaching regarding Christ's second coming states that there will be no further warning. Christ will come suddenly.
Jesus Christ came back to life, so will all believers, including those who have already died. God will turn tragedy to triumph, poverty to riches, pain to glory, and defeat to victory. He is our God!
