How often have you heard this sentence: "I have some good news and some bad news. Which do you want to hear first?” God, too, has good and bad news for us. We are eager to hear the good news, but shudder at the idea of hearing bad news. Often, we display “Selective hearing”, because we only want to hear the good news. Now we are reminded that God’s judgment is coming to a world that forsakes God; it comes to individual persons who forsake God and live contrary to divine rules.
