When Discomfort Becomes Transformational | August 16 | Jason Gaskin

What happens when Jesus doesn't act the way we expect? In this week's message from Matthew's gospel, we sit with the unsettling story of the Canaanite woman — a story where even Jesus is transformed in real time by a woman's persistent faith. Exploring themes of division, who belongs, and the radical hospitality of a table none of us control, this sermon asks us to embrace discomfort as a doorway to a more expansive love. A reflection for anyone who's ever felt like an outsider, or anyone ready to be surprised by who's already seated at the table.
