The Next Chapter | Week 3 | Jason Gaskin

What does it mean to be a community that is truly more just, whole, and compassionate? In week three of “The Next Chapter” series, we turn to the prophet Micah, who called God’s people back to their central mission after they’d drifted into faith that was transactional and performative. We explore how a church can stay fresh and avoid becoming insular, why vulnerability and authenticity are required to act justly, love kindness, and walk humbly, and how listening to the pain in our community is part of the prophetic call. We close with reflection questions: What stories of pain exist within our community? And what word in our mission resonates with you?
