Throughout Advent, we have been reflecting on what it means to practice peace when life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or unclear. In today’s sermon, we turn to Paul’s words written from prison and explore how gratitude, generous assumptions of others, and intentionally focusing on what is good can cultivate a peace that surpasses understanding. Ultimately, this message reminds us that peace and joy are cultivated—not discovered—through intentional spiritual practices, especially in the midst of disorientation.
