We don’t need to be historical characters… we need to be just as we are. The Bible teaches that God values the heart and obedience over mere ritual. Acceptable worship involves a sincere heart, a life of obedience, and a commitment to justice and mercy. The Bible warns against conforming to the customs of this world, the Bible calls for transformation of mind and heart, and urges believers to live in distinct, godly ways that honor God and resist worldly influences. God’s will isn’t a secret, but being in tune with God’s will is not complicated. All we have to do is know how to recognize his voice when he is speaking to us and then have the courage to do what he tells us. Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Only when the Holy Spirit renews, re-educates, and redirects our mind are we truly transformed.
