The Freedom 250 Mobile History Truck event that was scheduled for next weekend at Westfield State University has been canceled due to concerns about political alignment.
The cancellation stems from public concerns about perceived political alignment, specifically due to the event’s support from PragerU, a media organization associated with a particular political viewpoint.
“Freedom 250 is a nonpartisan organization singularly focused on celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and bringing Americans together around this historic milestone,” Reisner said. “From the outset, our work has reflected the unifying spirit of this moment — beginning with our first signature event, the congressionally approved illumination of the Washington Monument on New Year’s Eve, which set the tone for a nationwide celebration.”
