Testimonies 26-1

Gospel testimony is a personal and corporate declaration of faith that reflects God’s truth, grace, and transformation in the life of a believer. It is both a spiritual witness and a practical tool for evangelism, rooted deeply in Scripture.

Biblical Foundation

In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word edut (testimony) often refers to God’s covenant and law as a witness to His relationship with His people, such as the Ark of the Covenant being called the “Ark of the Testimony” (Exodus 25:22). In the New Testament, the Greek martyria (martyr) shows the link between testimony and witness, even unto death. Jesus is called the “faithful and true witness” (Revelation 3:14)
