Jesus, approaching Jerusalem, tells the Parable of the Minas (Luke 19:11-27) because hearers expected the kingdom immediately. A nobleman gives ten servants minas to trade while he obtains a kingdom. Return brings cities to the productive, loss to the one making excuses, and death to rejecting citizens. Steward grace faithfully until judgment.
