Kijuan “The Psalmist”: I Am Held (Joy Rhodes)

Kijuan the Psalmist’s rendition of Joy Rhodes’ “I Am Held” draws listeners into Scripture through worship. Reflecting Philippians 4:6–7’s call to bring every concern to God in prayer, Kijuan shows prayer as more than words: it can be surrender, a whispered “Jesus,” or awareness of God’s nearness.

Joy Rhodes’ lyrics affirm God’s constant presence, and Kijuan deepens that affirmation with tender, reflective praise. Moving between stillness and heartfelt Declaration, his reverent delivery comforts and encourages listeners, assuring them that God holds them amid uncertainty. More than a performance, this rendition invites listeners to experience God’s nearness and embrace prayer in its simplest, most genuine form.
