Who You Are in Christ

Just a few verses before our text, Peter says something about Jesus that changes everything. He calls Jesus the living Stone, rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him. Think about that. The people looked at Jesus and said, No thanks. Not what we're looking for. But God looked at the very same Jesus and said, Chosen. Precious. The crowd's verdict and God's verdict could not have been further apart and God did not revise his opinion to match theirs.
