When God Feels Silent

Have you ever prayed so hard that your throat got dry, and yet the only sound you heard was the echo of your own words bouncing off the ceiling? Have you ever opened your Bible, hoping for a lightning bolt of direction, and instead felt like you were reading a history book? That heavy, confusing, and sometimes frightening experience is what we call the silence of God. It’s not that God isn’t real; it’s that He feels distant. This sunday We are going to look at one of the most honest prayers in the Bible, found in Psalm 13. David doesn't put on a happy face. He brings his raw, aching question to the Lord. And in that raw honesty, we find a roadmap for our own souls.
