Today, we are reflecting on three simple but powerful instructions from 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18: Three short commands: Rejoice always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances. At first, these words might sound difficult. How can we rejoice when life is painful? How can we pray continually when our days are so busy? And how can we give thanks when we are going through difficult circumstances? Paul isn't telling us that life will always be easy. He is reminding us that our relationship with God doesn't have to depend on our circumstances.
