He Will Make a Way

Think back to the night the people of Israel stood at the edge of the Red Sea. Behind them, they could hear Pharaoh's army thundering closer. In front of them, nothing but water, dark and wide and impossible. They were trapped. No road forward, no road back. And in that moment, they did what a lot of us do when we're cornered. They panicked. They turned on Moses and basically said, "Did you bring us out here to die? There was no way we asked for this." But here's what they couldn't see with their eyes: God was already working. And when Moses stretched out his hand, the sea split open, and the very thing that was blocking them became the road that saved them. God made a way right through the middle of the impossible. Now hold onto that picture, because the same God who opened the sea is the God who says in Isaiah 43, I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
