Imagine you're at a big family reunion, one of those loud, crowded gatherings where cousins you barely recognize are hugging you and the food table stretches longer than the buffet at a wedding. And in the middle of all that noise and laughter, there's one person sitting off in the corner. Nobody's talking to her. Nobody notices she came in, and nobody would notice if she quietly slipped out. She's surrounded by family, and she has never felt more invisible in her life. Now picture somebody spotting her from across the room. They don't just wave. They walk all the way over, sit down beside her, look her in the eyes, and say her name. And in that moment something shifts inside her. She's not invisible anymore. Somebody saw her. Now, that's not a real story, I made it up. But I told it because that ache of feeling unseen is one of the most common wounds human beings carry. And this morning I want to take you to a woman in the Bible who felt exactly that way, sitting alone in a desert with nowhere to go, until God Himself walked across the room of her life and called her by name
