I. The Problem of Sin
Created sinless
One command → penalty: death
The Fall: disobedience → spiritual & physical death
Humanity’s condition: sinful nature
“All have sinned…”

II. Our Helpless Condition

We cannot fix ourselves (Romans 7)
God’s justice requires death
OT sacrifices: blood required
God covers sin with sacrifice

III. God Provides the Perfect Sacrifice
God’s love: John 3:16
Jesus: the Lamb of God
He became sin for us
“It is finished”
Veil torn → access to God
IV. The Resurrection
Without resurrection → no hope
“He is risen”
Christ the firstfruits
Victory over death
V. The Invitation
Meet Jesus as Judge or Savior
Believe → not condemned
Jesus heals broken lives
Conclusion
The cross: sin required death
The resurrection: Jesus gives life
How will you meet Jesus?
