WE ARE GOD’S MASTERPIECE Colossians 3:10 “…put on the NEW SELF, which is BEING RENEWED in KNOWLEDGE and in the IMAGE of its Creator” a. “BEING RENEWED” - God is Re-Working us! - PROCESS requires AVAILABILITY on our part! - If we are NOT available, God CAN’T WORK. “Being Renewed” in “KNOWLEDGE and IMAGE of GOD” 2. The “Masterpiece” also has a Responsibility The Artist - He first envisions a finished product. Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.[a] The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. He had a picture in mind for everyone – An Artist Needs Certain Tools and Surroundings: Consider God’s Tools - Am I helping God make me to be the Masterpiece He desires? - Am I hurting God in making me to be the Masterpiece He intended?  II. CREATED FOR WORKS the masterpiece that does the work! God Has PROVIDED The Tools – But they are His tools. Equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us[a] that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Hebrews 13:21 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Phil 2:13 II. CREATED FOR WORKS the masterpiece that does the work! Make sure You Are Available for Creation! Step in Faith If there is no fear, or desperation – you don’t need God! So many times, we fail to understand God’s will because we are only willing to do what we can do on our own. What do you need God for?
