I Samuel 24:6-7 6 He said to his men, “The Lord forbid that I should do this thing to my lord, the Lord's anointed, to put out my hand against him, seeing he is the Lord's anointed.” 7 So David persuaded his men with these words and did not permit them to attack Saul. And Saul rose up and left the cave and went on his way.
II. God's way or My Way
A. How Spiritual Vagabonds are born
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord (Romans 12:19).

1. It is righteous for God to avenge His servants.
2. It is unrighteous for God’s servants to avenge themselves,
3. God tests His servants with obedience.
B. How Can God Use Corrupt Leaders?
Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli” (I Sam. 3:1).
And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation” (I Sam. 3:1).
