The Great Commission and Suffering
You will be hated by all the nations" (Matthew 24:9, 14)

If they have called the Master of the house Beelzebub, how much more the members of his household" (Matthew 10:25).
Do not be ashamed, but share in suffering for the gospel in the power of God .
Three ways suffering has a sanctifying effect on us.
1 Suffering demolishes our prideful self-sufficiency
2 It propels us into a relationship of deeper delight in God.
3 It clarifies what’s truly important.
Five Pieces of Armor for Suffering
Christ Suffered: "Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose.“ (v1)
Making a Clean Break with Sin so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God (v2)
Any amount of past sinning is sufficient. It's enough.
The adversaries will be brought to justice.
We who embrace the gospel will triumph over death.
