Purpose Statement: It was in 1776 that the now famous Liberty Bell was rung for the first time. Fifty years later, July 4, 1826, it ushered in what was known as the “Jubilee Anniversary” of the American Republic. Our forefathers who founded this country were well acquainted with the Bible and therefore it is not surprising that they associated liberty and a bell with the blessings of our freedom.
