Is Prayer Powerful?

Purpose Statement: A speaker at a conference was opposed by someone who ridiculed the idea that there was a God who heard and answered prayer. The speaker stopped and asked the troublemaker, “Do you pray?” The troublemaker said, “No, of course not!” The speaker asked “What do you know about prayer?” The troublemaker was silent. What did the disciples witness of Jesus? What did the disciples ask Jesus to do? Teach to preach or sing or pray? Many who pray have had remarkable answers to prayers. Have you prayed, “I need this or that?” And you received your answer to prayer.
