Purpose Statement: At first glance Jesus’ response to the royal official seems rather cold. However, it shows the importance of faith. Faith is like a muscle. How do we exercise? Jesus wants growth spiritually. Jesus wants deeper faith for the official and us. What is the agenda of Jesus? What is our agenda? Will we take Jesus at His word?
