Revelation 17-18 Three Babylon’s-- Babylon comes from the word to confuse. It was named Babylon because God scattered them and confused their language. God told man to “replenish the earth” that means to fill the earth. Babylon is mentioned 260 times in the Bible Rome is mentioned 15 times in the NT only Jerusalem is mentioned 800 times in the Bible These are the Big three! The most mentioned cities in Bible prophecy and most significant cities in the Bible. Bethlehem, Nazareth, Capernaum, Jericho and Ninevah are also mentioned often in the Bible but not in Bible prophecy. “Mystery” that which has not been revealed yet. It is a secret being revealed. This is vital to help us understand who Babylon is. Many say that Babylon is the cradle of man, but it will ultimately be his grave.
