Ps. 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in

green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. 4 Yea,

though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;

for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You

prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my

head with oil; my cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow

me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Ps. 100:3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we

are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint

my head with oil; my cup runs over.

● My Good Shepherd deals with the ENEMY and provides a SAFE

PLACE.

Jn. 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that

they may have life, and have it to the full. 11 I am the good shepherd. The

good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Ps 23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You

anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.

● In Bible times, shepherds used oil for three purposes: to repel

INSECTS, to prevent CONFLICTS, and to HEAL WOUNDS.

● My Good Shepherd gives me GRACE in place of IMPATIENCE.

● Unhealed wounds lead to BITTERNESS.

Ps 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

● My Good Shepherd pours out His BLESSINGS, until they

OVERFLOW.
