Through the Valley

Ps. 23:1The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2He makes me to lie

down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3He

restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His

name’s sake. 4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of

death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff,

they comfort me. 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my

enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. 6Surely

goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will

dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Valleys: places of DEATH and DANGER.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death…

To make it through the valley, remember:

1 - Valleys are PREDICTABLE.

Jn. 16:33 In this world you will have trouble.

Wrong Question: “WILL I go through valleys?”

Right Question: “HOW do I go through valleys?”

2 - Valleys are UNPREDICTABLE.

3 - Valleys are TEMPORARY.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death…

4 - I am not ALONE in the valley.

Ps 23:1-3

Is. 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am

your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my

righteous right hand. (NIV)

Is. 41:10 Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your

God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm

grip on you. (The Message)

5 - My Good Shepherd is BIGGER

and STRONGER than every evil in my valley.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear

no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
