Episode Notes

WHO IS JESUS?

1. Jesus is the central fact of human history.

Philippians 2:9–11 “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him
the name which is above every name...and at the name of Jesus, every knee will
bow...”

2. Jesus is the central point of all of scripture.

Luke 24:44-45 (NLT) Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you
that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and

in the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to
understand the Scriptures.

John 5:39 “You search the Scriptures... and these are they which testify
of Me.”

Hebrews 1:1–2 “God... has in these last days spoken to us by His
Son...”

3. Jesus is the center of the entire universe and of all creation.

Colossians 1:15–17 “He is the image of the invisible God, the
firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created... all things
were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in
Him all things consist.”

Hebrews 1:3 “...upholding all things by the word of His power...”

Ephesians 1:9–10 “...that in the dispensation of the fullness of the
times He might gather together in one all things in Christ...”

John 21:25 Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down,
I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be
written.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Matthew 26:30 Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of
Olives.

Psalm 118:22-24
The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.
This is the Lord’s doing;
it is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it

4. Is Jesus the center of your life?

Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other...”

Colossians 3:4 “When Christ who is our life appears...”

Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ...”

Galatians 2:20 “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me...”

● Whatever is at the center of your life will determine the direction of
your life.

Matthew 16:15-16 Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” 16
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

“This is the most important question that has ever been asked. It is
also THE QUESTION you must ask yourself.” - Billy Graham
