"Big Doors Swing On Small Hinges"
(1 Corinthians 4:2) Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found
faithful.
(1 Tim 1:12) I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord,
because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service,
(Matthew 25:23) His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful
servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter
into the joy of your master.’
· Faith is when you can trust God. Faithfulness is when God can
trust you.
· Faithfulness is a God expectation
“I’ll be Faithful as long as...
· it’s financially rewarding.”
· It’s fun and I like it.
· It’s flexible and fits my schedule.
· It’s fulfilling.
· It’s friendly.
Luke 16:10 – "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted
with much..."
1. Faithfulness Begins Small
2. The World Applauds Big; God Honors Faithful
Zechariah 4:10 – "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord
rejoices to see the work begin..."
3. Faithfulness Prepares You for More
There is a progression in the kingdom of God:
● Faithfulness → Trust → Promotion
● Faithfulness is the proving ground of destiny.
4. Hidden Hinges Hold Heavy Doors
● Quiet forgiveness.
● Private repentance.
● Daily prayer when you're tired.
● Kindness when it's inconvenient.
5. Jesus: The Ultimate Example of Faithfulness
Philippians 2:8-9 – "...he humbled himself by becoming obedient to
death—even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest
place..."
Revelation 19:11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse!
The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he
judges and makes war.
