The Sacrifice of Living for One Another - Colossians 3:12-17

On Remembrance Sunday, we honor those who sacrificed their lives for others—but Scripture also calls us to a deeper, daily sacrifice: the sacrifice of living for one another. We will be looking at what this looks like from Colossians 3:12–17 as Paul describes how we are to live out the new man. These virtues cannot exist in isolation; they require community and the continual dying to self. This is what Jesus meant by His words that there is “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends,” not only in death, but through our life.
