Paul reminds us that the “new man” in Christ cannot be lived out in isolation, but in community. Paul goes from speaking about how living out Christ not only shapes our relationships within the church, but it also shapes our relationships in the home and in work. Although each command seem counter cultural, each one has been lived out by Jesus. We are called to live as Jesus and for Jesus. As Jesus shapes our heart, our relationships around us will be shaped.
