Be Careful What You Wish For

Drawing from Esther chapter 5, this episode explores how Esther's courageous and carefully measured approach to King Xerxes serves as both a historical account of Jewish deliverance and a foreshadowing of Christ's ultimate act of sacrifice and intercession before the heavenly throne.
The episode emphasizes that godly discernment, spiritual preparation, and trust in God's timing are essential when facing life's most critical moments. Through the contrasting characters of Esther and Haman, the message highlights the dangers of pride, the consequences of unchecked desire, and the blessing that follows when our wishes align with God's sovereign will.
The episode concludes by drawing a powerful parallel between Esther's access to the earthly king and the believer's access to God through the atoning work of Jesus Christ, whose death tore the temple curtain and opened the way to the throne of a holy God.
