Jesus went into the temple and when He came out He used the fig tree as an object lesson to show what was missing in the church by pointing out what was missing from the fig tree. The fig tree had leaves but no fruit. Matthew 7:16 says Ye shall know them by their fruits and Galatians 5:22 says the fruit of the Spirit is love.
