What is the Gospel? 2

What if the heart of humanity’s problem was never just sin, but who we let rule us? In this message, Jorge traces the story of failed leadership from Eden to Egypt to Israel’s demand for a king — and shows how each time, people traded God’s good rule for a counterfeit that promised freedom but delivered slavery. Matthew’s Gospel doesn’t just present Jesus as Savior; it presents him as the Son of David, the true King whose kingdom has finally arrived. Jorge unpacks why submitting to Christ’s authority — not just receiving forgiveness — is the good news, and why the modern gospel often settles for “the gift” while quietly rejecting “the King.”
