Buddhist philosophy sees desire as the cause of our suffering and seeks to eliminate this unsatisfactory aspect of life at its root. Christian philosophy tends to see desire as an essential aspect of the human but something that must be carefully shaped lest it lead us astray. What do you most desire, or wish for, in life? Could we learn to desire what is best for us?
