Philippians 1:1-8

Pastor Josh sets the who, what, when, and where of the book of Philippians. The letter to the Philippians has a theme of joy. We also know that this church was incredibly diverse. It was made u of the rich, the middle class, and the poor. Multiple cultures were working in businesses, government, and the marketplace. Its unity through diversity is a picture of what the local church should and can be.
The first eight verses focus on the primacy of the gospel.
