John 18:28–19:15 covers the trial of Jesus before the Roman governor Pontius Pilate. The Jewish leaders hand Jesus over to Rome to secure a death sentence. Pilate questions Jesus about His kingship, declares Him innocent multiple times, but ultimately caves to the crowd and yields to crucify Him.
