John's gospel is so important because it establishes Jesus deity and shows the clear message of the bIble that Jesus is fully man and fully God simultaneously. God the Son, who became flesh for us to die in our place as the perfect sacrifice, as only God could do. He was raised from the dead on the 3rd day and lives today sitting on His throne.
